I mentioned taking raw honey a few weeks back but after consecutive days of snacking non-stop on heaty CNY snacks, even the raw honey couldn’t save me and I came down with the most bad-ass sorethroat ever!
Raw honey’s awesome for overall health but this baby, I swear, totally kicked-ass. Propolis is a resinuous substance collected by bees to fill crevices and fix their honeycomb. It’s bittersweet and not as pleasing to consume compared to honey but I used this about 4 times throughout yesterday, 2 drops each time and this morning I woke up with my soreness pretty much gone. I like the honey big and bold in my mouth instead of diluting it. So I’ve been taking a nice, generous (plastic) spoonful each AM and savouring it around my tongue and back of throat before swallowing. Sweet with a hint of herbal bitterness from the eucalyptus. Oddly addictive.
This all-natural honey is perfect in boosting the immune system so I might even swap my daily glass of Vitamin C for this permanently.
